Academy 4

We need your help! Academy 4 takes place one Friday afternoon a month during the school year. All fourth-grade students, mentors, and volunteers gather on the school campus, on the same afternoon, for a fun-filled time of leadership training and relationship building. We need 125 individuals to make this 9-month commitment for the 2023-2024 school year. All it takes is 90 minutes, once a month. Mentors will be provided day of, onsite training, easy to follow curriculum and fun activities to do with your 4th grader.

The Children’s Closet

There are many children in need of uniforms—an estimated 85% of students in FWISD. Last school year our Children’s Closet distributed over 16, 732 articles of clothing to children attending FWISD schools, and counselors are already telling us they expect the need to be much greater this year.

So, how can you help? You can give your time by helping fill orders, fold shirts and jeans, and unbox and organize inventory at our Closet. You can share your financial resources by making a gift to the Children’s Closet to sponsor a child’s uniform. Click the link below to learn more, sign up to serve, or make a financial gift or reach out to our Children’s Closet Ministry Chair, Susan Hill.

ALL ages are welcome to serve!

As stewards of the earth, we are called to live in harmony with the environment- to respect, honor, and care for the gifts of God’s creation and all living beings. Something as simple as picking up trash is a way to practice our faith. It’s a small step in treating the earth with compassion. Serving at this park is unique in that it is a step towards the goal of creating a high-quality green space and recreational area for low-income and other high-risk, vulnerable populations.
