Who We Are

Welcome to UCC Children’s Ministry where every Sunday we are emboldening our children to confidently explore their faith and live out Christ’s courageous and inclusive love. We can’t wait to meet you and walk with your children and family on your faith journey!

Babies (Cribs)

The youngest (six weeks through ones) University Christian Church gets to be a part of a very nurturing environment that includes comfortable lighting, worship music, a Bible story just for them, and incredible staff who are passionate about your little one.
Preschool (Ones – Pre-K/Fours)

Preschoolers play, learn, hear Bible stories and engage in hands-on faith exloration from 8:45am to after 11am traditional worship each Sunday.
Elementary Kids (Kindergarten – 5^th Grade)
Our Elementary Kids will gather in a room we call the Nest. They’ll meet loving teachers ready to teach them about the love of God. They will hear a Bible Story and then split into smaller groups by grade to do age appropriate activities and crafts to engage with the Scripture and explore their faith! (4^th and 5^th graders are included in Elementary Kids at 9am and 10am, but have an opportunity for Bridge at 11am)
Bridge (4^th – 5^th Grade)

Bridge AM meets at 11am in the Second Floor UCC Kids area where we explore God’s Story each week. Friendships and faith development are both changing during this critical period. Bridge gives this age group a chance to grow in faith and bridge into the Youth program. Bridge also meets in the evening (Bridge PM) at 4 pm on Sundays and we discuss, serve, play, and gather as a community.

What To Expect

Checking Your Child In

As a guest at UCC, we invite you to check in with our reception desk staff for a nametag and an opportunity for you to provide us with important safety information regarding your child.

Guests may also check in at any of our Children’s Check-In sites.

Picking Up Your Child

Drop Off and Pick up for Preschool in Walker Hall Hallway outside South Preschool Wing.

Drop off and pick up for Elementary in UCC Kids Assembly Room on the second floor.

Each child will have a guardian receipt printed. You can choose to have more than one guardian receipt printed if you plan to divide and conquer pickup after worship. When you return to pick up your child, please present your guardian receipt to the UCC staff member in the classroom.

Communion for All

Children’s Worship will incorporate the elements of communion, too.

All ages are welcome at Christ’s table, including children. We encourage children to take part in the Lord’s Supper, when the family feels they are ready, as they are an important part of our worshiping community.

When we dedicate children to God, parents make a covenant to raise their children in homes where the Spirit of Christ is present and the UCC faith community makes a covenant to pray for, serve and support these families. We are reminded of God’s promise of love for all of God’s children when we surround families in prayer and covenant. There is no perfect age for your child and family to participate in dedications. When you are ready, please contact Robin.Doyle@uccftw.com to confirm a dedication.
