Mission Trips

Mission Trips

We are called to be in relationship with each other and to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world.  At UCC, we offer several opportunities to travel beyond our local community for mission trips.  Our model of mission and outreach is one of relationship.  We strive to be partners in ministry with those with whom we are in ministry.

Many opportunities will be available, some for adults only, others for whole families.

Some of our past and upcoming locations for mission trips are Southwest Good Samaritan Ministries in the Rio Grande Valley, Acuna, Mexico with Casas Por Christo and Liberia, Africa.

These trips are designed to deepen our understanding of our neighbors and our faith while doing meaningful and much needed work in the communities we serve.

In September of 2025, UCC partnered with Project 44 on a mission trip to Kakata, Liberia.   During their time there, they worked on the sewing classrooms at the Project 44 trade school, worked at the Waterfield Medical Clinic and alongside their outreach medical teams providing vaccines and dental health products and worked to provide rice and medicine for a local orphanage.  The Holy Spirit was at work during our time there, and we all look forward to many future trips as we continue our partnership in ministry there.

On each trip, there is room for all skills and desires.  For example, there will be opportunities to do construction, medical/dental clinics and outreach, children’s programming and fellowship and sharing the love of Christ.
We were able to deliver 3 months worth of rice to the Kakata orphanage to feed the 85 children living there.   The team also got to help with the finishing of the three classrooms in the sewing wing of the trade school.

Our Partnership with Project-44

UCC is proud to partner with Project-44, a Fort Worth-based nonprofit dedicated to serving those in need beyond the walls of the church. Inspired by the early church in the Book of Acts, Project-44 provides reliable transportation, counseling services, food pantry support, and vocational training—both locally and globally.

Founded by Ben and Margret Fields, this ministry embodies the spirit of compassion and service, helping people where they are. Together, we are making a meaningful impact in our community and beyond!
