Box-It & Distribution Day

Where: Outside at UCC’s Children’s Closet
Join us for a fun day of packing boxes with school uniforms and distributing them to FWISD School Counselors. This UCC volunteer opportunity will ensure a smooth start to the school year for FWISD counselors who facilitate the distribution of school uniforms (donated by the Children’s Closet) to poor and vulnerable elementary students in the district.
Volunteers will pack “Starter Kits,” that include uniform shirts and pants, for 40 schools, on the morning of August 11. Other volunteers will load the boxes into counselors’ cars as they drive through the church parking lot later in the day. The packing and loading work will be strenuous and the weather is likely to be hot.
