Lauren’s passion is listening to people’s life stories and worldview journeys. She teaches, writes, and researches to understand people’s beliefs and humanness a little more completely.
In college, Lauren was a scholarship athlete and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Tech University with a degree in English and Secondary Education. She earned both a Master of Arts in Theological Studies (MTS) and Doctorate in Christian Education from Southern Seminary, and she has published work regarding higher education in Christian Education Journal and Religious Education Journal.
Before University Christian Church, Lauren spent time teaching in Northern Africa, as a barista, college minister, high school teacher and soccer coach, and qualitative researcher. You’re most likely to find Lauren in a coffee shop, rock climbing, in the outdoors, or spending time with family and friends.
