Circles of Faith

Circles of Faith

UCC’s Circles of Faith are designed to help people grow in their spiritual journey and develop new and diverse relationships within our community of faith. Our groups will begin at the end of September. Please check out our Fall 2024 offerings and sign up to participate in a small group ministry!

A House United by Allen Hilton

Mondays, September 30-October 28.  Noon-1pm, in person, UCC.
Facilitator: Kyle Powell
Maximum: 15

Allen Hilton’s book, A House United How the Church Can Save the World describes the ways in which churchgoers in the United States have ushered in the extreme divisions of Left and Right politics to greater extremes. These culture wars impact the media we consume, the communities we live in, and the ways in which we engage with family and friends. Hilton believes that religion is not inherently divisive and offers a new role for the church. Hilton promotes a Christianity that brings people together with their differences, creating a house united and a vision of God transforming the church to be an agent of hope. As part of our Love Your Neighbor campaign, we encourage everyone to read A House United. These Circle of Faith opportunities provide additional opportunities for you to engage in conversation around these complex issues as we work toward a place of hope and wholeness.
