Kyla K. Rosenberger began as the assistant organist at UCC in 1992, and is currently the Senior Organist. She was the organist at Ridglea Christian Church in Fort Worth for the six years prior.
Kyla grew up in Kansas and received a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Kansas State University. She attended TCU and obtained a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy. Kyla started playing organ for First Christian Church in Bonner Springs, KS while in high school. She continued organ studies through the rest of college. In addition, she passed the American Guild of Organists professional exams in 1992 to obtain the level Colleague.
Kyla has long been active in the Fort Worth chapter of the American Guild of Organists. She has been Dean of the chapter twice, in 1992-1994, and from 2014-2016. Kyla was head of Hospitality and Volunteers for the 2015 Southwest Regional Convention and presented a workshop on new vocal solos with organ accompaniment.
She is married to Brian Rosenberger, an aerospace engineer employed by Lockheed Martin Company. They have two young adult children: Amelia and Andrew. In her spare time, Kyla always enjoys reading for pleasure and especially participating in the Wild Women Book Club at UCC. She also loves attending classical music concerts of all types in Fort Worth and attending the TCU football games.
